STPM

After my SPM in Methodists Girls' School, I pursued pre-University in sixth form. I studied STPM in Methodist Boys' School for 2 years. It was a big change from me coming from an all girls school. To be in a coed school, you can't be as crazy and wild with your girl friends as you did in an all girls school. Even though my time there was short, I'd like to think that I was somehow a teacher's pet in some of my subject classes. This might be because of the fact that I couldn't speak fluent Mandarin made me stand out more than my classmates. Form six was fun, though I enjoyed my high school years more.

SPM

I took my SPM examination in Methodist Girls' School. It was senior year back then. It was a time where being able to balance studies and duties decide what will happen in the near future. My senior year had it's equal amounts of stress and enjoyment. I was really active in extra curricular activities and at the same time, was a school prefect. It seems a lot to bear, now looking back. I'm amazed at my past self how I managed to cope. I was in the Science stream back then before I made a switch to the Arts in sixth form. I now realized, I didn't really enjoy or had the interest while studying Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Thank God I somehow managed to score 8As and 1B. SPM. Crazy year.

Latar Belakang Akademik

Ever since primary, I studied in Methodist Girl's School (MGS), for 11 years till I graduated from high school. While in MGS, a holistic education was promoted. Therefore, there were 'out-of-class' lessons. For example, during our schools' Learning Festival, we got to learn about the different cultures in Malaysia, took part in talent competitions and learn the basic skills in life. English is my main medium. I communicate with my family in English. Thus, my communication skills in Mandarin and other Chinese dialects are not very fluent. After spending 11 years in an all girls school, I was transferred to Methodist Boys' School (MBS) to continue my education in Form Six. It was a huge change for me to be in a coed school, but I had my share of fun there too.

Keluarga

My family consists of five individuals including myself. I am the youngest of three daughters. As a family, we enjoy nature and the outdoors. My mum would make it her priority to organize a oversea family trip at least once every two years to encourage family bonding. Since we prefer nature, we don't usually travel to big cities like Singapore or Bangkok. Rather we go hiking at the volcanic mountains in Indonesia, or the Himalayas in Nepal. Since young, we were taught to enjoy nature. To enjoy the beauty of God's creation. Sometimes, as I travel and I see so much beauty in nature, it always amazes me that if nature could be so astounding, how much greater is the God I believe in? Being able to be amazed by the beauty of nature with my family is truly what I thank God for.
